FACIAL LIPOSUCTION

Facial liposuction can make a dramatic change in the way you look by removing the excess fat from your cheeks, chin and neck. It results in a more attractive and youthful contour.

This liposuction is done as an outpatient procedure with local anesthesia and IV sedation. The surgeon uses a device called a "cannula" and inserts it in an inconspicuous location on the face and neck. The fat cells are then extracted using a special pump. Submental liposuction can be done along with facelift, browlift, eyelid surgery and chin or cheek implants.

Recovery time is minimal. You will need to rest 24 hours after the procedure and wear a snug elastic facial garment for a week. Wearing the garment at night another week is advised.
